"AG Writing" - training for the MSA in English

Nice of you to be here :-)
We meet each Monday in room 112 during the 8th and/or 9th lesson.
We'll speak English and/or German.
We'll mostly write.
You may come for the 8th, the 9th or for both lessons.
If you can't come at all, please tell me (me = Arkona).
Here is what we learn about:

We are writing a short story, based on four of the items schown above:
The stories take place either in the present, in the past or in the future.
Each story shall follow very simple sentence patterns like.

Structuring Words
in the end (am Ende, zum Schluss)
finally (schließlich)
suddenly (plötzlich)
until (bis)
again (wieder)
Conjunctions
therefore (deshalb, folglich)
that's why (deswegen)
so (darum, also)

False Friends
"False Friend" bedeutet "Falscher Freund". Dies sind Wörter, die sich im Englischen ganz ähnlich anhören wie im Deutschen. Dennoch haben sie eine andere Bedeutung:
| I will | = ich werde (meint eine zukünftige Handlung!) |
| I want to | = ich will (wirkt im Englischen unhöflich, da sehr fordernd) |
| I'd like to | = ich möchte (sollte man immer sagen, wenn man im Deutschen 'ich will' meint) |
